Staring at the foams of the ocean
THe wind whips her hair around her face
A whirlpool spirals in her
She is in a daze
Searching wildly for an answer
She finds the skies clear
Standing on the cliff, she longs to fly
Held, bonded by memories she holds dear
The empires she once ruled
Vanished in thin wisps of smoke
The fortress and army
Rebelled once dawn broke
The silk and gold she adorns herself
Are but ash and dirt, an illusion
The dreams she slogged for
Never came near completion
Her eyes clouded by tears
The sun's rays are denied entry
The wind's words are muffled
If only she could see
The leaves fall, flowers droop
The canary halts his song
Raindrops start to fall
